美国寄宿中学申请一般截止在每年的的一、二月份截止，最重要的是跟同学们要一对一的面谈。

目前这段时间，很多美国较优秀的寄宿中学都已经陆续开始发出面谈通知。 美国寄宿中学面谈的形式有几种，最直接的当然就是邀请申请人和家长到美国学校做一个正式的参观访问，同时在访问的前后预约和招生老师一对一的面谈。除了我们经常说的十大常青藤名校之外，大部分学校并没有到校面谈的硬性规定。当然如果申请人对面谈比较有自信，最好能够亲自到美国学校面谈，因为你可以利用这个机会对学校的老师及同学情况多一点了解，同时也让校方知道你对他们学校的浓厚兴趣和你申请的决心。面谈时最重要的当然是你给学校的第一印象，所以穿着要注意，最好能够正装出席。尤其对学生的服装有严格要求的学校，你可以穿的比他们学校的学生更加正式。美国人很注重第一印象，除了穿着打扮之外，国际礼仪一定要注重。例如主动问候，抬头挺胸，说话时口齿清楚，并面带笑容等，都是很重要的细节。面谈的问题大多是围绕在你的学习生活和课外活动，有时会问到你的理想或目标等等，这些都是比较容易准备的。需要注意的是，大多面谈老师在结束前都会问你有没有什么问题。如果你客气的说没有，那这个面谈就此结束，但是我们建议同学在面谈前，最好都先准备好至少1-2个问题，因为这个问题，可以代表你对他们学校的了解和兴趣。如果问得好可以给老师留下深刻的印象，甚至有加分的作用。虽然面谈时学校已经有你的申请资料了，有时面谈老师会给你一篇小作业让你当面发挥，在你专心写作的同时老师可以和父母单独交谈，看看他们是否有什么问题需要和学校交流。面谈后很重要的是，离开学校后，最好在1天内给面谈的老师写封感谢信，email，传真或邮寄都可以，重点是要再次表达你对此校的兴趣，同时感谢面谈老师给你的机会和介绍(或老师给你的建议)等等。当然并不是所有的同学都有机会亲自到所有申请的学校去参观和亲自面谈，如果你没有办法到学校去的话，一般学校有几种形式进行面谈这个程序：

1、，现场面试;2。电话面谈;3。电脑视频面谈。无论学校选择用任何一种形式进行面谈，原则都是一样，当然电话面谈对穿着要求不是特严格，但是电话上的礼貌你也必须遵守，例如说话的音量大小，发音清楚等等。其实这些都是可以预先练习的，任何一种形式的面谈，只要你准备的越充分，到时你就会应付的更自如，所以无论是在家里自己照镜子练习或是和外教练习，都不要错过任何机会。当然无论是亲自面谈，视频，或电话面谈，最重要的是要放轻松，因为一般人紧张的时候就无法发挥正常的水平，这在短短的面谈过程中是很重要的。另外我会特别建议同学们可以找到专业的面谈培训老师，多做情景练习。练得多了什么样的问题都能经历一些，一旦到了正式的面试场合，才真正能放轻松，才能正常发挥。我们给大家准备了50个面试中常会问道的问题，希望对大家面试有所帮助：
