of的区别是含义不完全相同、适用场合不同、时态不同：

1、含义不完全相同：at

the

end

of既可以表示时间也可以表示地点，译为“在…末；在…尽头”。因为

表示在“时间点、小地点”，比如：at

the

door（在门口）、at

the

7（在7点），所以at

the

end

表示时间或者马路、街道、河流等的尽头；by

the

end

of只能表示时间，意为“在...…前；到…...为止”，因为

含有“从以前延续到......”的意思。
