measure和weigh的，类似，用法

measure和weigh都有三种词性：名词、及物动词、非及物动词作名词时，measure意为（1）措施例：We should take some measures to solve this problem. 我们要采取一些措施解决这个问题。

（2）尺寸例：She made the trousers to my measure. 她按照我的尺寸做了一条裤子。

（3）程度例：The result, in a certain measure, depends on her decision. 从某种程度来说结果取决于她的决定。作名词时weigh意为“权衡” 例：After our weigh, we give you another chance, 经过我们的权衡，决定再给你一次机会。作为及物动词时，measure和weigh都有“权衡”的意思。例：You need to measure the quality and the quantity of the influence. 你要从“质”与“量”两方面权衡影响。但measure指的是“测量、估量”，而weigh指的是“称……的重量”。例：How to measure the length of that box? 如何测量那个盒子的长度？How to weigh that box? 如何称那个盒子的重量？同时weigh还有“考虑”的意思。例：You can weigh this matter patiently and reply me 2 weeks later. 你可以耐心考虑这件事，两周后答复我。作为不及物动词时，measure就只有“测量、估量”的意思，没有”权衡“的意思了。例：It is the only thing we can measure. 这是我们唯一能测量的。作为不及物动词时，weigh意为（1）重量为…… 例：How many pounds does the box weigh? 这个盒子重量为多少磅？（2）具有重要性例：His words weighed heavily with the jury. 他的话对陪审团发生重要影响。

（3）起锚例：The ship weighed early. 那船一早就起锚走了。
