So和so that的区别

1.so是一个副词，表程度时是“如此，这样”的意思；表因果关系时是“所以”的意思。

其后可修饰形容词和副词，还可与表示数量的形容词many，few，much， little连用，形成固定搭配。so + adj./adv.so + adj. + a(n) + n.[可数]so + adj. + n.[不可数]so + many/few + n.[可数]so + much/little + n.[不可数]so + adj. + to do sth.例如：so foolishso nice a flowerso many/ few flowersso much/little moneyso many peopleI'm so glad to hear from my friend．收到我朋友的来信我真高兴。

2.so that是一个词组，是“以便，为的是，结果是”的意思，引导目的状语从句。so后面加形容词或副词，that后面加句子例如：

1. I got up early so that I could catch the early bus.

2. Please open the window so that we can breathe fresh air.

3. You must go now so that you won't be late.
