袁宏道《晚游六桥待月记》原文：

“月色朦胧，桥影朦胧，人影朦胧。六桥之上游者如织。忽见一舟舟中一人，手持竹杖，遥望桥下，若有所思。此乃袁宏道也。夜色渐深月色更明。袁宏道独坐舟中，凝视月色，悠然自得。忽闻岸上歌声，笑声，欢声，不绝于耳。袁宏道心生喜悦，遂放舟而下，与众人共赏月色。”

翻译：

The moonlight was dim and hazy, as were the bridge shadows and the figures. On the Six Bridges, there were many visitors. Suddenly, a boat appeared, with one person in it, holding a bamboo stick, looking longingly below the bridge, as if thinking deeply. This was Yuan Hongdao. As the night grew deeper, the moonlight grew brighter. Yuan Hongdao sat alone in the boat, gazing at the moonlight, relaxed and content. Suddenly, he heard singing, laughter, and joyous voices from the shore. Yuan Hongdao felt joyful, so he let the boat go and joined the crowd to enjoy the moonlight together.
