In 2013, Rene van Pannevis graduated from NYU Tisch film school. His teacher Oliver Stone was a great inspiration. In his first year his short GODVERDOMME! (Goddamnit!) premiered at Oscar qualified festival Palm Springs. After NYU Rene moved to Amsterdam where he finished his no budget thesis film JUNKIE XL that opened at Hamburg International film festival. But Amsterdam became too small.
