Federico Cammarata (1993) and Filippo Foscarini (1990) are a duo of filmmakers based in Italy. They began their collaboration at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Palermo) with the film Tardo Agosto (2020), adopting a personal, fieldwork-based approach. Working without a large crew, Federico handles the visuals (as director of photography and camera operator), while Filippo takes care of the sound (including location sound recording and sound design). Their early works have been presented and awarded at several documentary film festivals, including DocLisboa, Festival dei Popoli, Beldocs and the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival. They are currently working in the border regions between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia. Waking Hours is their first feature documentary.
