用英语介绍上海的一座广场（如人民广场）

人民广场是上海最大的公共广场,是融文化、绿化、美化为一体跨世纪的政治文化中心.

广场的中央是320平方米的圆形喷水池,为三层9级下沉式.这是国内首创的大型音乐旱喷泉,红、黄、蓝三色玻璃台阶组成彩色光环,创造出美丽壮观,富有吸引力的新景观.喷水池中央凸现上海的版图,喷水池四周是4座紫铜花坛,用花钢石制成的44只石鼓灯,蹲在中心广场上.在四个入口台阶上,6组富有传统文化艺术特色的浮雕,线条生动优美,图案古朴雅致,反映了上海的历史文化及上海人民的美好心愿.

中心广场的东西两侧有两个小广场,东面为旭日廊,形成旭日广场；西面为明月廊,形成明月广场.整个广场均是绿茵茵的草地,众多的树木,大大小小的花坛里鲜花盛开.绿化带主要种植香樟、雪松、白玉兰及其他常绿灌木,郁郁葱葱的,像在人民广场外围拉起了长青的手.13公顷面积的广场,仅绿化就占了8公顷,使广场成为上海最大的园林广场
