Foronething,languageisapartofculture.Couldonehandworkwhenbeingapartfromthewholdbody?Never!Alanguageisjustlikethehandwhilethecultureisthewholebody.Sothelanguagecouldmeannothingatallwithoutbeingrelatedtotheculture.Becauseitistheculturethatmakesthelanguagemeaningful.

Foranother,learningtheculturecouldhelpyouunderstandthelanguagewell.Whyweshouldsaysomethinginthatwaywhenweuseaforeignlanguage?Howshouldwebringinourideainaforeignlanguage?Andwhatshouldnotbebroughtinwhentalkingtoapersonwhospeakadifferentlanguagefromours?Allthesequestionsmentionedrefertosomethingcalledculture.Forexample,weusuallysay“NowhenotherspraiseusinChina,whilethosesay“Thankyou”forthesamesituationinWesterncountries.Why?Becausewearelivingindifferentcountrieswithdifferentculturebackgrounds.

Therefore,culturestudyisnottheimportantthingwhenlearningaforeignlanguagebutanecessaryoneforgoodunderstandingofthelanguage.
