　　当我很小的时候，有一首关于桂林的歌“我想去桂林，但是当我有钱的时候，我没有时间。。。”，这是我对桂林的第一印象，桂林很吸引人。出于歌曲的力量，我对自己说等我长大了，我一定要去桂林。当我读高中的时候，我有机会去拜访桂林，在寒假，我妈妈叫我和她一起去桂林看望她的一位老朋友。我很兴奋长久以来的梦想得到了实现。我收拾东西坐上大巴。早上我们到达了桂林，这是我第一次如此接近它，我深深吸了一口气，看着街上的一切。在寒假期间我参观了所有的景点，很漂亮，难怪人们说“桂林山水甲天下”。

　　寒假期间，因为春节和其他原因我很开心。假期期间我父母和我回到河北的乡下老家。我已经好几年没回去了，所以看到过去这些年这座小村庄发生的巨大变化我感到很惊讶。几乎村里的每一户人家都有彩电，有的还有了电脑。很多家庭都有了新建的或重建的房子。以前老式瓦房随处可见，但是现在它们看上去完全是一幅新的景象。摩托车或者甚至是私家车也已不再是奢侈品了。

　　一位村民骄傲地告诉我他和其他一些村民跟团出国旅游了。以前村民们一整年都忙于农活，但是现在它们有更多时间和钱去放松娱乐。旅游已经成为在村民当中已经成为一种新潮流了。看到这些惊人的变化，我爸爸说他一退休就想回到家乡。而我也强烈支援他的观点。
