你可以查英汉词典，它会告诉你单词的读音、词性、汉语意思以及用法。可是怎样才能迅速无误地在词典中查到它呢?首先所有的英语单词都是按照字母顺序排列的。在词典中你首先看到以字母A开头的单词，接着是以B、C、D、E等开头的单词。这就是说如果有两个单词“desert”和“pur，“desert”一定在“pull”的前面。其次如果有两个单词以同一个字母开头，你可以看第二个字母，接着是第三个、第四个，以此类推。例如“pardon”在“plough’’的前面，“judge”在“just”的前面，等等。
