Jean:OK知道了。Geek在英语口语里有点贬义词的性质，就是用来形容那种比较执着钻研学问、不太管别的事情书呆子气的人。那一般英国人怎么用这个词呢？

Jean:好了让我们再回顾一下今天学到的新词吧。Geek就是指那种不爱和别人交往内向孤僻的人。Well,itlookslikewedon’thaveanymoretime.

PS其实吧，我觉得BBC把geek说成书呆子不太正确，geek只是‘呆’，跟‘书’没什么关系。bookworm这个词是‘书虫’的意思，形容人懂得多读得多，也没有呆的意思。

似乎只有一个词‘pedant'比较准确一些。pedant:apersonwhoistoointerestedinformalrulesandsmallunimportantdetails.这个词的涵义有一点书生气的执着含义。但这个词是贬义的。中文的’书呆子‘似乎没有贬义，只是表示一种称呼人对被称呼人的无奈。

不管怎样翻译本就不可能在语义上完全对等，geek,bookworm,pedant三个词你自己挑好了。
