HainanIslandissituatedinthesouthernmostofChina,well-knownforits“theendoftheskyandtherimofthesea(Tianyahaijiao)”.HainanIslandisthefamousscenicspotinChinaforitsgoldenbeaches,blueseaandthetropicalclimate(热带气候).TheprovinceisdividedintoHainan,Nansha,Xisha,Zhongshaislands,etc.

Haikouisthecapitalcity.Thesecondbiggestcity,Sanya,hostedthe2003MissWorldCompetitionandearnedthefameas“HawaiiofChina”.Sanyahadbeenapoorlittlefishingvillageuntil1954,whenthegovernmentmadeittheHainanSpecialEconomicZone.Nowtherearemanyfinehotelsandgolfcourses（高尔夫球场）.Manynewhotelsarebeingbuilttoreceivemoreandmoreguestsfromallaroundtheworld.Tourismnowaccountsfor(占到)80%oftheisland’srevenue（收入）.
