Inthelate1980's,anumberofdeerwerereintroducedintoChinaandtheyhavebeensuccessfullyreproducedsincethen.NowcaptivePereDavid'sdeerscanbefoundinBeijing,Dafeng,TianezhouandYuanyang.

Youmaynotknow:

ThedeerbecameextinctinChinaattheturnofthe20thcenturyanditwasn'tuntil1985that22ofthemreturnedfromBritain.TheyhadbeenkeptatWoburnAbbeybythedukesofBedford.
