今年暑假我和爸爸妈妈去了首都——北京，北京是一个神圣的地方那里有许多古代建筑。

Thefirststop,wecametoTiananmenSquare,onlyTiananmenmagnificent,extraordinarymomentum.Onthemonumenttothepeople'sHeroesontheoppositeside,thereareeightbigwordswithglitteringGold:thepeople'sheroeswillliveforever.Infrontofitisasquarebuilding,ChairmanMao'smemorialhall.

第一站我们来到了天安门广场，只见天安门雄伟壮观，气势非凡。对面的人民英雄纪念碑上写着金光闪闪的八个大字——人民英雄永垂不朽，前面的是一个近似于正方形建筑——毛主席纪念堂。

ThesecondstopisthePalaceMuseum.ThePalaceMuseumisanancientroyalbuildingwithredwallsandyellowtiles.WepassthroughtheMeridianGateandseethemagnificentinside.WecometothehallofSupremeHarmony,whichisthelargestpalaceinthewholepalacemuseum.

第二站故宫，故宫是古代的皇家建筑物，那里是红墙黄瓦，我们穿过午门，只见里面富丽堂皇，来到太和殿这里是整个故宫最大的宫殿。

ItissaidthatTaihehallistheplacewheretheemperorascendedthethroneandwenttocourt!ThenwecametotheimperialgardenintheForbiddenCity,wherethetreesareverytall,hundredsofyearsoftoweringtrees,exoticflowers,everything.Theairinsideisveryfresh.

传说太和殿是皇帝登基、上朝的地方呢！接着我们又来到了故宫里的御花园，里面的树木高大无比，上百年的参天大树，奇花异草，应有尽有。里面的空气很新鲜。
