Astudentdoesnotknowanyoftheanswersonatest.Ashestaresattheblankanswerpage,alltheproblemslookblurry,andwhentheresultscomeback,thestudentrealizesthathefailed.Thisisthesituationforthosewhocopyhomeworkfromothers.Theyarenotonlycheating,theyarenotlearninganythingandwillnotbepreparedfortestsorquizzes.Byusingtheworkofothers,theycanruintheirgradeaswellastheirfuture.Itisnotrighttocheatwhenweallhavethecapabilitytodoourownwork.Peopleshouldnotreceiverewardsfortheeffortofothers.

Mostpeoplehavecheatedatleastonceintheirlives,whetheritwasformissedorincompletework,orevenjustforcreditthatyoudidn’tdeserve.Butthisisnotright;infact,itisunethicalandunfair.Takingtheworkofothersandusingitasyourownisnottherightthingtodo.Itshowsalackofresponsibilityaswellasalackofknowledge.Forexample,ifastudentcheatsusingaclassmate’sexampaper,heistakingcreditforanother’swork.Ifthetea-chercatcheshim,theconsequencesareusuallyfailure.

Cheatingbyusingtheworkofothersisthesameasruiningyourlifewithdrugs.Itisnotonlyunnecessaryandfoolish,itcanalsostarttobeaddictinginmanyways.Ifastudentconstantlycheats,thenitmaybecomeahabitinthefuture.Besides,nooneneedstocheat.Weallhavebrainsthatwecanuseandalsoteachers,parents,andpeerstohelpus.Anyway,it’snotlikewewillsucceedinlifeifwecontinuouslycheat.Thereisnoneedtoruinbothyoureducationandyourlifebycheating.

Cheatersusuallysuffermanyconsequences.Inthebeginningwhenthestudentisingradeschool,cheatingmayonlyleadtolosingcreditandgoingtotheprincipal’soffice.Inmiddleschool,therewillbeSaturdaydetentions,suspensions,andevenparent-teacherconferences.Butinhighschool,college,andtherestofaperson’slife,cheatingwillnotbetolerated.Ifacollegestudentusesaquotefromabookorwebsiteanddoesn’tcitewheretheinformationcamefrom,thatisplagiarism.Thisformofcredit-takingdoesnotjusthaveminorconsequencesbutcanalsolandyouinjail,ruinyourrecordforcertainjobs,tearapartyourrelationshipswithfamilyandfriends,andjeopardizeyourfuture.

Everydayasyoupassthroughateen-infestedhallway,therewillbeatleastonepersonmadlyscribblingawayonapieceofpapertryingtomatchitwiththeonefromtheirpeers.Thisallcanoccurrightbeforethebellsignalsthestartofanewschoolday.Whydotheyhavetodothis?Willthoseextra10pointshaveahugeimpactontheirgradeandalsoremindthemtodotheirhomeworkinthefuture?Theclearanswerisno!Whycan’ttheyjusttelltheirteachersthetruth?Bycopying,thecheaterlearnsnothingandtheteacherwillneverknowiftheycopiedtheirhomeworkoriftheydiditthemselves.

Ofallthings,takingcreditforothers’workisnotonlyunnecessarybutquiteunreasonableaswell.Ifwealljustdoourwork,thenthereisnoneedtocheat.Weshouldmakeaneffortforoureducationinsteadoftakingtheeasywayout.Butmostimportant,ifweallworkhardinsteadofcheating,theneveryonewillliveaprosperousandsuccessfullife.
