Summary:Oursystemsuccessfullydeterminedthegenreofthevastmajorityofthetestsongs.Notonlydidthesystemchooseagenre,itquantifieditsoutputwithalevelofsureness.

Oursystemsuccessfullydeterminedthegenreofthevastmajorityofthetestsongs.Notonlydidthesystemchooseagenre,itquantifieditsoutputwithalevelofsureness.Whenthesystemwasinerror,therewasacorrespondinguncertainty.Thegenrethatgaveoursystemthemostdifficultywastechno.TheoutputoftheDSPfunctionsfortechnohadaveryhighstandarddeviation,makingithardfortheneuralnetworktodistinguishitspatternfromthoseoftheothergenres.Givenanunknownsong,thereisan84%chancethatthesystemcandeterminethegenresuccessfully.
