Aftertheswamppassed,weleftforourcondoonthebeach.Whenwegotthereofcoursewehadtogoswimmingintheocean!Wewereinthewaterbutwerealisedthewatersurfacewascoveredwithlayersofdeadinsectbodies.Weweresodeterminedtohaveaswimthatweswamwiththeinsectcorpses.IcouldnotseewhatwasinfrontofmebutIkeptcrawlingforwardwhiletryinghardbreathingoutbitsofinsectsoutofmymouth.

WewereinthewateraboutametredeepandthenextminuteIwassuckedunderandwastakenawaybythewaves.Icouldnotswimwiththesix-feettallwavescrashingonmyhead,soIscramwitheverybreathIcouldtake.Iswallowednumerousbitsofdeadinsectsintheprocess.ThelastthingIseemedtorememberwasthewholebeachrunningtowardsme.ThenIwasout.IwokeuplayingonthebeachwithtonsofpeoplearoundmeaskingifIwasok.
