　　有一个巨人住在一栋大房子，那里有一座美丽的花园。小朋友都喜欢到这个巨人的花园里玩耍。他们每天下午都去。

　　有一天，巨人回来了。七年前他离家去看他朋友。这个巨人看到他的花园有小朋友时非常生气。

　　可是在巨人的花园里，天气还是很寒冷。春天不想光临，因为巨人太自私了。那儿一只鸟也看不见。有一朵小花钻出泥土便看到立在门口那个“禁止进入”的牌子。

　　小花心想：“这个巨人太自私了。我要回去睡觉。”

　　白雪、寒霜邀请北风来作客，他便来到这座花园。北风穿著一件毛皮外套并戴着一顶帽子，他整天在巨人的花园中刮着寒风。

　　北风吼叫着说：“真好玩。我太高兴了今年我不必睡觉了！”

　　有一天早上，巨人还躺在床上。他忽然听到一阵声音，好像是小鸟在唱歌的声音。

　　“真奇怪，”他心想。“怎么听不到外头北风怒吼或冰雹降落的声音了？”
