SummercanbeveryhotinsouthernTaiwanwherethetemperatureusuallygoesupto32Cormore.Becauseoftheheatitisatryingexperiencetogotoschoolordoanythingelseinaplacethatisnotair-conditioned.AlsobecauseofthisIstayathomemostofthetimeduringthesummervacationandonlyoccasionallygotothebeachtoplungemyselfintothecoolwaterasawaytokeepmybodylesssticky.ActuallyIlikeswimmingandthinknothingismorerefreshingthanaswim.InthesummervacationthathasjustendedIwentswimmingmanytimeswithmyclassmatesandweallhadagoodtime.Thissummervacation,however,wasnotspententirelyinseekingfun.Asasecond-yearseniorstudentIhadtopreparemyselfforthecollegeentranceexaminationsthatwereonlyayearaway.Inotherwords,Imustfindtimetostudy,too.SoIdividedmytimebetweenworkandplayduringthesummervacationandderivedmuchbenefitfromthisarrangement.

Ispentthissummervacationinquiteadifferentway.Iusedtorunabouteverydayinprevioussummervacations,butthissummervacationIsimplycouldnotaffordtodoso.Iwouldsoonbeinthelastyearofmyhigh-schooleducationandwouldaftergraduationbeupagainstthecollegeentranceexaminations.Thoughthoseexaminationswerestillayearaway,IhadtostartearlytomakemyselfwellpreparedbyreviewingallthosethingsIhadlearnedatschoolandthissummervacationwastheidealtimeformetodothis.AtfirstIwasratherdismayedatthethoughtofthis,butlaterIthoughtitwasbetterthiswaybecausebyworkinghardthissummerIcouldcountonendlesshappysummerstocome.WiththisinmindIthensettoworklikeanythingandonlyoccasionallywentoutforachangeordidsomephysical.Iwasnotatallboredbythiskindoflife,forIwassustainedbyahope.

MysummervacationplanIamgoingbacktomyhometownthissummer.IwilltakeagoodrestwhenIgethomeafterayear'shardwork.whenistayathome,iwillsurftheinterenet,watchtvandhelpmymomwithhousework..whenistayout,Iwillseealatestmovieandpalyballwithmyclassmates,iwouldliketotravelwithparentsiftheyhavetime,wewillvisttheanimalmuseumwhichilikebest.ifihavechance,iwilltrybeingavolunteertolookintotheopinionofpeopleforolympicgame.Summervacationisthebesttimeoftheyear.IcanplanlotsoffunthingsandIcancarrythemout.ItislikeIcandowhateverIwant.Oh,Ijustcan'twaitforit!MyPlanforSummerVacationThelongingsummervacationisapproaching,itisthebestpartoftheschoolyearforme.Icannotlettheholidayselapse(逝去)meaninglessly,myvacationshouldbeaphase(时期、阶段)ofharvest.Theeventsinmyplanshouldgivemeasenseofinfinitepotential.Thefollowingplanmayrevealtheintensityofmydesiretotravel,workandstudyinthisvacation.InthefirstfewdaysIwanttoclimbMountHuaShanwithseveralfriendstorefreshourselves.ThenItendtovisitrelatives,seniorschoolteachersandformerclassmates(老同学).Besides,tofindoutthebestwaystocultivatemyabilities,Iwillfindaparttimejobandconductsomesocialinvestigation.Inshort,Iwanttodointerestingthingsinthesummervacation.WhateverIdo,thegoalisthesame:togetnecessaryexperience,acquireknowledgeandbroadenmyhorizons.Thoughthesixweekvacationwillpassawayatlightningspeed,itsinfluenceisboundtolastlong.
