　　一)TheImportanceofConfidence(自信心的重要性)

　　Whateveronedoes,oneshoulddoitwithconfidence.Ifonehasnoconfidence,thereislittlepossibilitythatonecanachieveanythingwhenfacedwithhardships.Thistruthseemstobeself-evident.Inreality,however,wedoseealotofpeoplewhoalwayscomplainthattheylacktheabilitytodosomethingorthattheirdifficultiesaretoogreattoovercome.Forsome,thismightbetrue.Butformanyothers,thisonlyshowsthattheyhavelostheart.

　　Inmyopinion,oneshouldbuildupfaithinoneselfaslongashehasarightattitudetowardshisownabilities.Weshouldneitherunderestimatenoroverestimateourabilities.Asaproverbsays,“Wherethereisawill,thereisaway.”Withconfidencewecancertainlycopewithanytaskwearefacedwith.

　　一个人不管做什么事，他应该充满信心地去做。如果他没有信心，那他取得成功的可能性就很小，尤其是当他面临困难时。这个道理似乎明白无误。但是在现实中我们确实看到许多人，他们总是抱怨说，他们缺乏办事的能力，或者说，他们的困难大得克服不了。对于有些人来说这可能是对的。但是对许多其他人来说这只能表明他们已经失去信心。

　　依我看，一个人只要对自己的能力有正确的态度，就有可能对自己建立信心。我们既不应过高估计我们的能力，也不该低估我们的能力。常言道：“有志者，、事竟成”。只要有信心我们一定能完成任何面临的任务。

　　(二)Thereisnodoubtthatfakeandinferiorproductsareextremelyharmful.Inthefirstplace,theyendangerpeople’shealth,givingrisetoalotofinjuryaccidents.Forinstance,inferior-qualitymedicinesnotonlyaggravateapatient’scondition,butalsotendtothreatenhislifeand,what’sworse,toresultinhisdeath.Secondly,fakeandinferiorproductsareusuallysoldonthecheap.Inmanycasestheyinterferewiththenormaleconomicorderinourcountry,affectingthemarketofmanyhigh-qualitygoods.

　　Inmyopinion,severalstrongmeasuresshouldbeadoptedtofightagainstfakeandinferiorproducts.Ontheonehand,thosewhomakethemmustbeseverelypunishedbythelaw.Ontheotherhand,duetothegrowingcomplexityofthemarket,consumersareoftenfacedwithdeceptivepractices.Althoughtherearelawsdesignedtoprotectconsumers,thereisnotasufficientnumberoflawenforcerstocoveralltheabusesofthemarketplace.Hence,consumersshouldlearntodiscernbetweentrueandfalse.Onlyinthiswaycantheydefendtheirownlegalrightsandinterests.

　　毫无疑问，假冒伪劣产品极其有害.首先它们危害人民的健康,引发了许多伤害事故.例如,伪劣药品不仅使病人恶化,而且往往会威胁病人的生命,更糟的是，导致病人的死亡。其次假冒伪劣产品通常廉价出售。在许多情况下，它们有干扰了我国正常的经济秩序，影响了许多高质量产品的销路。

　　依我看，必须采取若干措施来与假冒伪劣产品斗争。一方面制假者必须依法严惩。另一方面由于市场的日益复杂化消费者常会遇到欺诈行为。虽然有法律保护消费者，但是没有足够数量的执法者来处理市场的全部流弊。所以消费者应该学会辨别真假。只有这样消费者才能维护他们的合法权益

　　(三)Wealthhasalwaysbeenwhatsomepeoplelongfor.Itistruethatmostofthemtrytoacquirewealthbymeansofhonestlabour.Theireffortscontributetothewelfareofthesocietyandatthesametimetotheaccumulationoftheirwealth,andhencetotheirhappiness.

　　Butthereareexceptionswhenwealthdoesnotgohandinhandwithhappiness.Wealthmaytemptweak-willedpersonstobeaddictedtoharmfulhabits,suchasdrug-takingandgambling,andresultintheirownruin.Besides,apersonmaylosehisevensomegovernmentofficialswhotakeadvantageoftheirpositionstotakebribesfromthepeopleturningtothemforhelp.Allthesewillbringaboutthenegativeeffectofwealthifwedon’ttakeaproperattitudetoit.

　　Inmyopinion,onnoaccountcanweidentifywealthwithhappiness.Ialsobelievethatoneshouldneverreckononlyonwealthtoachievehappiness.

　　财富一直是有些人所渴望的对象。确实大多数人努力通过诚实的劳动来获取财富。他的努力对造福社会有好处，同时也促进了他们财富的积累，因此也使他们更幸福。

　　但是当财富脱离了幸福，就会产生各种例外。财富可以促使意志薄弱者养成恶习，如吸毒或赌博，并导致他们自身的毁灭。另外如果一个人一心追求财富并沉溺于奢侈的生活，他就会失去理智、误入岐途。例如甚至还有一些政府官员利用他们的职位向求助者索贿。所有这些都会产生财富的负面效应，如果我们不能正确对待财富的话。

　　依我看，无论如何我们也不能把财富和幸福等同起来。我还认为人们永远也不应该只依仗财富去获得幸福。

　　(四)OnKeepingaDiaryinEnglish(坚持写英语日记)

　　KeepingadiaryinEnglishisoneoftheeffectivewaystoimproveourEnglishwritingability.Comparedwithotherformsofwriting,itisshorterandtakeslesstime.ItcanhelpustocultivatethehabitofthinkinginEnglish.Ifwepersistinhispractice,graduallywe’lllearnhowtoexpressourselvesinEnglish.

　　InkeepingadiaryinEnglish,weinevitablyrunupagainstalotofdifficulties.Inthefirstplace,itoftenhappensthatwehavetroublefindingappropriatewordsandphrasestogiveexpressiontoourmind.Secondly,therearemanyidiomaticwaysofsayingthingsinChinese.AnditisextremelyhardforustoputthemintoEnglishproperly.Certainly,therearesomeotherroadblockswemaycomeacrossinourkeepingadiaryinEnglish.

　　用英语记日记是提高英语写作技能的有效方法之一。与其他写作形式相比，它短小，省时。它能帮助我们培养用英语思考的习惯。如果我们坚持这样做，渐渐地我们就学会了用英语来表达我们的思想。

　　在用英语记日记的过程中，我们不可避免地要遇到许多困难。首先经常发生的事，我们很难找到恰如其分的词或短语来表达我们的思想。其次在汉语中有许多习惯说法，我们很难把它们准确地译成英语。当然还有一些其他的困难，我们可以在用英语记日记中遇到。

　　总之，我认为，用英语记日记对提高写作能力十分有用的。

　　旅游业----“无烟的工业”----正在中国迅速发展。随着改革开放政策的贯彻执行，数以万计的外国游人涌入中国。他们渴望参观这个具有5000多年灿烂文化的神秘古国。

　　旅游业作为一种商业活动给中国带来许多好处。首先在经济上它有利于我国经济的发展。正如你们所知道的，中国需要大量的外汇来执行现代化建设计划。旅游业是获得外汇的最重要的渠道之一。其次旅游业是中国人民更多地了解外界。另一方面访问过中国的外国人对我国的最新发展和我国人民的友好和殷勤留下了深刻的印象。世界各国的报纸经常刊登访问过中国的外国人所写的报道，介绍中国人如何彬彬有礼、助人为乐。显然旅游业大大促进了中国人民和世界人民之间的友谊和了解。

　　至于我，我相信，随着我国经济的发展，这些问题必将逐步得到解决。我们期望有一个更好更光明的未来。
