Thisancientcityhasaapproximately5000yearshistory.FromChinesemythofNvwatoGuanyu,archaeologistsfindmanyvaluablesiteshere.

Thiswidepieceoflandreservesantiquityrecordsofhuman’susingfire,makingsalt,growingcrops,feedingsilkwormsandest.unexaggratinglyspeaking,Yuncheng,alsonamedHedong,whichmeansintheeastofriver,isthecradleofChinesecivilization.

Comparedwithothercities,Yunchengisthemostrichlyendowedwithsomemajornaturalresourcesforindustry,especiallyenergyresourcessuchasiron,coal,andmagnesium.Becauseoftheabundanceofsunshineandmildclimate,Yunchenghasanidealenvironmentformanykindsofnorthfruits,likeapple,togrow.
