ButAmericanshaveanimpressiveappetiteforgoodstuff,too.

Tocelebrateitsendlessculinarycreativity,we’rethrowingourlistof50mostdeliciousAmericanfooditemsatyou.

Weknowyou’regoingtowanttothrowback.

Almostasiconic(andifyouaskmostkids,asdelicious)istheturkeyTVdinner,the1953brainchildofaSwansonsalesmanlookingtouseup260overestimatedtonsoffrozenbirds.Nojoke:Hegottheidea,hesaid,fromtidilypackagedairplanefood.Wedolovethoseleftovers.
