用英语写元旦的所见所闻
On New Year's Day, I got up early and felt the festive atmosphere all around. The streets were crowded with people in colorful clothes. It was decorated with lights and a big red banner with the words "Happy New Year" on it. In the square, the people were singing and dancing. Everyone was in such a joyful mood that it was contagious. Later in the afternoon, I had a big dinner with my family. After dinner, fireworks lit up the sky. As they cracked and burst, I could feel my excitement double. At the stroke of midnight, I heard the sound of firecrackers as well as shouts and greetings for the new year. It was truly a night I could never forget.
