考研英语代词有哪些用处呢

一、it充当形式主语

在考研英语中出现的很多句子结构比较复杂或者字数很多，在这种句子有时主语会非常长，如果按照主语 谓语 宾语的正常语序来书写会出现头重脚轻的情况。在英语句法规则中，一般把比较长、比较复杂的部分放在后面，所以如果主语很长的情况下就可以用it代替真正的主语放在句首，而把真正的主语部分放在宾语后面。

在考研英语的长难句中常见的充当主语成分的有动名词短语、to do不定式短语和主语从句，这些句子出现it引导的形式主语的可能性大。在考研英语中常见的形式主语的句型就有如下几类：

（1）it is adj./过去分词 to do sth./从句（that从句常见）
