The Qingming Festival, in April, is a time for honoring ancestors with tomb sweeping and offering prayers. The Double Ninth Festival, in late September or early October, involves climbing mountains and eating chongyang cake, a traditional sweet treat.
The National Day, celebrated on October 1st, marks the founding of the People's Republic of China and is a time for parades and festivities. Lastly, the Winter Solstice Festival, in December, involves preparing dumplings and other foods to welcome the longest night of the year.
These festivals not only showcase China's rich cultural heritage but also bring communities together in celebration and reflection.
