灾难与幸运相伴，正如雷声伴随闪电一样。尽管不幸比幸运少得多，但是直到灾难突发人们才能意识的他的到来。

去年四川人民遭受了特大灾难。瞬息之间爆发了一次地表的剧烈变化。这就是震撼世界的汶川大地震。眨眼间数百万件房屋夷为废墟，上万人被夺去了生命。凡是当时亲临该地侥幸逃生的人无不遭到不幸，包括来自全国各地的务工者，国内外的旅游者，因公出差和因私探亲访友的来客。

但是从另一方面来看，灾区人民在地震导致大范围的破坏和不幸中并没有被灾难吓倒，他们在举国上下的鼎力支援下外，已经团结一致，鼓足干劲，全力去战胜灾害。那里的人民经受了历练懂得了如何去面对困难。从这一点讲痛苦有时也是一种财富。

有些自然灾害，如地震、台风和海啸，靠人力是很难避免的但是科学研究证明有些灾害的形成和发生于人类有着某种密切的关系。由于人为的破坏，自然环境正处于危机之中。我们应该保护生态环境，以免将来陷入绝境。
