Ifeelthatpreservinggreenspaceisaworthyendeavorthatwouldbeofgreatvaluetomymunity.ItisespeciallyimportantbecauseIliveinanurbanmunity.Theopenspacesandparksarelimitedinthecityandaretoooftensacrificedforfurtherdevelopment.Workingtoprotectthesespacesandtoestablishnewparkswouldbeawaytoconserveoneofthemunity’sscarceresources.Furthermore,providinggreenspacesfortheresidentsofmyneighborhoodwouldincreasethefeelingofmunityandimproverelationshipsamongneighbors.Thisisbecauseattractiveparkswouldencouragepeopletogetoutandsocializewithothersinarelaxedatmosphere.Inaddition,bybeautifyingtheneighborhood,itwouldprovidetheresidentswithmorecontactwithnature.Thiswouldencouragethemtoexerciseandleadhealthierlives.

Theabovearejustsomeoftheadvantagesofhavinggreenspacesandparksinamunity.Becauseitissobeneficialtothemunity,thatishowIwillchoosetodevotemyfreetime.Inthisway,Ihopetomakeameaningfulcontributiontomyneighborhoodandtomyneighbors.

社区是由一群人组成的,其存在也依赖这一群人.人们有可能住得很近,但却不能形成一个社区.因为社区这个字有共同行动的意思,也就是邻居们须共同努力去创造一个更好的生活环境.因此大家都要为我们的社区贡献一己之力,这是很重要的.如果我能每个月贡献几小时的时间,我会努力创造并保留我们社区的绿地.

我觉得保留绿色空间对社区很有价值,而且是值得努力的事.因为我住在市区,所以这一点显得格外重要.城市里的空地和公园不但有限,而且还常常被牺牲以作进一步发展之用.努力保护这些空间并且兴建新的公园是一个保存社区稀有资源的方法.另外提供附近居民绿色空间,也可以增进社区居民的感情,并改善邻居之间的关系.因为有吸引人的公园,大家就会想出去走走,在轻松的气氛下和其他人互相来往.另外通过美化邻近地区,可以让居民有更多机会接触大自然.这会使他们更想运动,过更健康的生活.

上述只是社区保有绿色空间和公园的一部分好处.因为这对社区益处很多,所以我打算把空闲时间都花在这上面.我希望能通过这种方式为我的社区及邻居做些有意义的贡献.,4,
